After reorganizing stuff I was left with a Pi3 with no life goal (just like me!) right on the day NetBSD 10 was released.
Was a bit lost at start with an unknown OS but overall it runs pretty well and has a lower memory usage than Debian. I only tried text mode stuff so far. Ok a younger me might have laughed at 116MB ram doing pretty much nothing in text mode being considered “low”.
Sure I hear you think “but it has still no life goal”. True but now it does sort of nothing on a more exotic operating system. A bit like me after moving to a new continent I guess.
@santiago I agree, we need a Raspberry OS “Ikigai” edition: you install it and then suddenly you know why you bought all these Raspis. But first all I need is a new benzo, Ikigaizolam
@Sburlot My case is only worse because I even bought two houses without knowing really why. So getting rid of first one will get me get even more Raspberry Pis here (hopefully this year again).
@Sburlot The only really essential Pi4 for me are still running Home Assistant (+mosquitto + nodered) and pi 2 or 3 running camera feeds.

Frigate
Retropie
AmiBerry
But I moved all services on an infinitely more powerful mini PC that also doubles as a desktop. Also dropped all electronics fiddling from Pi to ESP32 because instant on is just better and it’s sufficient for sensors and relays.
@Sburlot Actually I now use two Pi4 on side screens that just run cool-retro-term full screen running my #atomique project (a work-in-progress which in practice today is just 90% fzf selection of SSH servers).
Thanks to synergy1 they feel mostly like part of my Mac desktop at the center.
Except not as smooth, especially when rotated on a vertical screen (Wayland is faster but incompatible with synergy).
