Pioneer Rekordbox 6 is an absolute piece of shit. If you know what you're looking for, you can see me dancing around its looping bugs in every mix I've put on You Tube the last year.
I could maybe live with that, but half the time I fire up the DDJ and the cues will be piping the main mix into the headphones, or the booth output will have gone walk about, forcing a reboot.
The final straw was having to pay extra for digital vinyl support over Xmas.
I'm going back to Traktor. And I've organised a part exchange of the DDJ. Picking up the new controller on Monday.
My only fear was losing my playlists, but fortunately an angel has written a little conversion utility (for 20 quid!) that does exactly what is says on the tin. https://atgr-production-team.sellfy.store/p/emuy/
Looks rubbish, but I've just run it over my database and it brought over all my hotcues, and playlists. More than enough for me to fix up any odds and sods along the way...

TIL that Traktor updates install a completely new version in a new folder so you probably want to make sure you're loaded the correct one before you press record and realise all the beatgrid tidy ups you did last night are in t'other install that you didn't know about.
But at least that's more polite than Rekord box shitting it its hand and rubbing it over its face every update.
@k is that the S4? I keep looking at better controllers than my little Numark party mix but then realized I’d only be doing it for the new toy rush and I have plenty of other things I should be spending money on
