About to switch providers. Tempted to invoice Three for the outage today and loss of work, but as I said in my Toot (lol), I imagine they have covered themselves for that in their terms.

@andycarolan Yes, I imagine it has been a very frustrating day for you Andy. I mentioned it to Dad, and he said it also happened to you a few weeks ago, so changing providers is probably a very good idea 👍
Maybe worth a try invoicing them, although it probably has to be off for 48 hours or something 🙄
I never spend time in bed when I am ill, but this time almost 3 days, I felt really awful 🤒
@ShannonMT Yes, it did happen a few weeks ago. Apparently, they have been “working on something" in my area. They have started at 8.30am and finished at about 3.30/4.00 every time... most annoyingly, with zero warning.
I imagine invoicing them will prove futile, but I might as well try.

I hope that you get a satisfactory reply from Three, although as you pointed out, they will probably refer you to some clause buried deep in the contract 🙄 Hopefully your new provider will be better 😊
Same for me, I have only had Flu once, it felt very much the same.

It's effectively, 6 hours every day... peak times. Which is just super lovely of them.
Oh well... 3 days until the new provider's kit arrives then I will hopefully have a better connection. I can get up to 1Gbps here, but have just gone for the 250Mbps as that will be a giant improvement on what I currently have lol
Well, I got a reply from the executive team, so I've sent them a tale of my woes. Maybe they will finally solve the problem... but it will be once I’ve left lol.
100Mbps is pretty good... clearly not travelling through medieval copper wire then lol.
The fact that you are leaving should really be enough for them to take some kind of action, even if it's just better communication when scheduled work is due to be undertaken, not that it helps you now of course 🙃

VERY bad internet here at the moment. Went into the Three store yesterday, and they confirmed that ‘work’ is being done in my area at the moment. It's happened a lot recently, but not for an entire week (at least since last Nov).
Bad internet is the one thing that really grinds my gears lol. It basically prevents me from doing just about everything.
It's been a trying week to say the least lol. I've asked for the home broadband to be cancelled, and given the ongoing issues, I'm arguing non-performance as a reason for early cancellation of my sim-only phone plan.
I do enjoy banana bread!
The new router is out for delivery, so hopefully setup by lunchtime.

I think it's very reasonable to ask for your phone contract to be cancelled, not so bad for a few hours or even a day, but almost a week is unacceptable.

I had a reply from the person who's been dealing with my case, and they are going to ‘cover the cancellation fee', which would normally be £140 for the term left on the contract, so I feel that's a good result.
I'm going to switch my phone over to EE early next week.
Yes, agreed. I'm happy with that outcome. It's a shame to leave Three, as they used to be so good. Their service has nosedived recently though... sadly.
Good to know about EE. Most people I speak with who use EE have positive experiences of the service.
I really don't think companies care all that much now. Too much use of outsourced customer service centres sadly. They are often so out of touch with the nature of the business they are serving and seem to rely on nothing more than a flow chart. It's too easy to go off script 😅
Yes, I think you are right, especially with the part about the script which many of the -far away- Call centres seem to follow religiously 🙄 Unfortunately that doesn't allow for unpredictable situations or problems that can occur.

Honestly, I don't know what situations scripted call centres cater to, I've never had a particularly favourable result from any of them. It all feels more accidental when something does go right lol

No, surprisingly he doesn't have a cow tattoo. He has a bluebird on his neck, a dragon on his shoulder blade a vine and several Celtic symbols on his right arm.
I have a little Dolphin tattoo above my belly button 😊 (I have a belly button piecing, with a little boat on a chain, so it looks as if the dolphin is jumping over it) 😂
