I dislike hackathons in general, it's just not how I work. That the topic of this mandatory one at DAYJOB is chasing a bubble and promoting a product is just piss icing on the turdcake.

@nivrig one thing I regret never putting in place at my company was something I read about 3M. They’d give people time to work on whatever they wanted.

In game space I think that would be amazing and I really should have done it.

Find something you want to do. Rally people from the rest of the company if the project requires it. See what happens.

Double Fine has something like that but I would do it with less pressure than they do. For it not to become another source of stress but creativity.

To my #commodore #amiga bubble: How can I pin the icons of a folder after doing "Clean up". The "fixate" entry doesn't help. After every restart the icons are all jumbled...

Anyone have a sample FS-UAE config using a hard disk directory?

I've looked everywhere, and there's nothing that tells you how to actually use/configure it.

hard_drive_2 = /Users/didier/Documents/Amiga/Home

instead of something like:

hard_drive_0 = Workbench3x.hdf

Day 2 of getting the A600 up and running.

Going to open it up again and see if anything got pushed out of its connection when I closed the case yesterday. Trying to get it back to a working condition again and go from there.

Mouse should be coming in the mail today or tomorrow. Ordered a SCART/HDMI converter as a backup to the piggyback card moving forward.

Amiga seems to boot when the piggyback card is not inserted. But then of course I have no HDMI out to see what is going on…

Someone should make a new 16-bit console and put a big marketing push behind it. We keep seeing many new games being made today for our beloved 8-bit and 16-bit systems including #Amiga #NES #ZXSpectrum #GameBoy and other fan favorites, but the hardware is dying and it’s not easily obtainable, so games are being made out of pure passion and nothing more.

I wonder if such an idea has any chance of success… I would love a new 16-bit handheld in GameBoy format.
