I'm new to this whole therapy thing but so far what I've gotten out of it is:
1.) My feelings are justified because the world IS going to hell in a handbasket. Many other people are going through the same things. There's nothing any of us can do about it.
2.) I should see a specialist so they can prescribe me drugs that will make it so I don't care the world is going to hell in a handbasket & then I can get back to working 70 hours a week for our corporate overlords. That's just how life is.
@LilPecan Honestly having lived 73 years and watched loved ones suffer in the same ways I did and find some relief from the momentary WTF's that want to split the brain in two, if you trust your docs, try the help. If it's not for you, you'll know in a couple of months. Sending all the friendliest hugs and nothing ooky.
@Lizette603_23 Thank you for your heart felt advice. It doesn't feel like this therapist is for me but I'm seeing someone new in a few weeks and hoping for the best. There has to be a better a life than the one I'm living, though I'm trying to make the best of it.
Your 603 wouldn't happen to be NH, would it? I'm there all the time and am having brunch there this morning. So beautiful. I could get lost in their woods and not mind.
