Happy to announce that I am now a Trusted Contributor in the @postmarketOS project! It has been around 3.5 years since I found out about it and started contributing (mostly with ports and mainline linux support for various Samsung devices). It really feels great to be part of a joint effort to give devices a second life, and decrease the amount of #eWaste in the world!
@mfru@postmarketOS Great question, I'll look at writing such a blog post! In short I think it was because I used @termux a lot on my android devices, and pmos offered a closer-to-desktop-linux experience. I really liked that the end goal is to add support for the devices in mainline linux as well, unlike in for example LineageOS. I had never considered contributing to mainline linux, but the great guides and collaborative atmosphere in the pmos community made it feel possible! 1/2
