codeberg’s reasoning is that the repository contained proprietary content but they didn’t receive any takedown requests so i don’t get why they’re being proactive, feels really weird to me. they also said the repository was far too big, but i don’t buy that reasoning either, just 2gb with all of the history- but it was regularly trimmed. i think their main reasoning is the proprietary thing which is such a weird excuse when they hadn’t been told by anyone to take it down, for all they know nobody whos stuff is being archived minds it
