They should make a "only show me every nth post from this user" button tbh. Sometimes you don't wanna mute someone entirely but also they are way too much rn and you really just wanna see their posts like once or twice a day.
@amberage yeah, thsi is a great idea. Maybe a way to group people's post so they're bunched together in the timeline several times a day, instead of spread through everything all the time.
Some people are nice but just go too hard and it's sad to mute or unfollow them, but keeping a manageable timeline is worth something too.
@Tijn I've got a few mutuals and friends who I'm very fond of, but who sometimes have downright insufferable posts or takes (on inconsequential stuff, not on stuff that's friendship-breaking, like backing nazis), and I want to see them and read how they're doing and what they're up to, but without suppressing the urge to hurl my phone at the wall multiple times a day.
