Super fun house ownership problems: we can’t find our septic tank…despite knowing approximately where it is. I’m starting to suspect it’s really really far down so no matter how far we dig we’re not going to reach it. It’s this concrete box in the bottom left of the photo.
Plot twist: the local plumber showed up and he knew where it was. The lid is made of 3 giant slabs of sidewalk stone that have to be lifted for it to be emptied
@nervous_jessica we have a little pencil scratching somewhere from previous owner saying something like “30ft from house corner”. Luckily due to leach field we knew “which” corner, but even so 30 ft along an arc is a lot of places to try.
