How do we care for the people we need to defend ourselves from?

@kayleeserenada identify the ones who will never change and avoid or actively isolate them. For everyone else: show them the tools of compassion and empathy and then wait to see if they adopt them. Some will, some won't, and you can't do anything to make it happen because people have to want to change. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@amy @kayleeserenada especially if the majority of this interaction is with people who will be the least harmed by them. E.g. if someone is a huge misogynist, it should be cis (probably het) men to try to neutralize them before giving them access to a community as a whole. Abled allies can educate others on disability to help disabled ppl avoid the hassle. Allyship and solidarity is really important for stuff like this
