But: it's a bunch of work that needs to be done in order to get a good experience, so people who are just checking it out aren't likely to do that Many people coming from Twitter haven't had to approach it that way in a long time (if ever), so it's daunting or they don't think of it it doesn't work on mastodon.social or other large intances where local / federated aren't useful @smitten
