@landley Ahem: it's an ebook available via Kobo (not Amazon) on Kobo Plus from a big five publisher. Amazon doesn't "stream" ebooks.

@HairyChris Ask if it's good for trad-publishers: they're putting lots of back-catalog books on it, so it must be paying reasonably well (and they pay me a royalty accounting period later). It's interesting how Kobo Plus is going for a higher tier of the market than Kindle Unlimited (the global slushpile).

@cstross The more popular it is, the more likely thst Kobo will use similar books in their Plus subscription in the future, giving more money and influence to that kind of people. So I would say avoid it.
