I've started playing The Witcher 2 only 13 years after it launched and 17 years after finishing the first one... and I'm immediately reminded that all the female characters appear to have been written by a horny teenager.
@dotstdy I think I saw that article back in the day. The whole cards thing in the first one was absolutely ridiculous. The dialogues where hilarious (I like flowers / here's some flowers / fade to black) and the mechanism was... totally pointless? It had no effect on the game or story whatsoever, it really felt like someone tacked it on at the last minute just to put some nudies in the game. Even in 2007 it felts like some sexist relic from an era gone by.
