if anyone has any suggestions on how to make rugs stay put on their rug pads when my exuberant dogs run across them instead of coming up and getting jumbled (rug pad is staying flat). there's no real furniture to hold it down and I'm kind of balking at velcro but might be the right choice with these cheap cotton scrap rugs.

(I want the dogs to continue to be exuberant. I have no issue with them playing and running up here. it's their house too! this is their open space to wrestle in.)

@xantha I use heavy duty double-sided tape to make floppy rugs stay on the pad. It works better with rubbery coated pads than the bare felt types. The downside is it means I can’t throw those rugs in the washing machine. For $$ there is a rug brand called Ruggable that solves all that. I recommend highly apart from the $$.
