When the strongest reason to be against them is that promise itself is genuinely horrifying and destructive
@calotriton One consistent part of the tech-optimist message for “AI” is that it will automate most parts of our lives and most jobs we do, seemingly without realising what sort of society that would create.
@mms Oh, absolutely. I’m just having my mind boggle a bit from reading blog posts that seem incapable of seeing the likely consequences of the technological future they’re describing. 🙂
