@arcana@shibao i was surprised that they could not execute on the AI stuff at all, even though they pioneered it and already had the vision to do it. Even french startups like mistral run circles around them by now.
@lain@shibao Yes, that was a huge miss. They straight up pioneered transformers and then did nothing with it. I’ve been dealing with a bunch of their services and business teams lately and everything about it just has the signs of a company too bureaucratic to properly function any more. Lots of things that are outright bad
