What do you use to stay organized as a developer/ IC (Individual Contributor)?

@awoodsnet I use markdown files and vscode. Works fine as long as I remember to sort files into folders. Upside is, that I can have scratch-code files in the same directory as notes, downside - it gets messy if you'r not carefull

@awoodsnet Todoist on every device, work and personal.

I have a whole subproject for “PRs to be merged”, which helps me track concurrent streams of work. Easy to say “oh, I need to do these things but can reschedule that to next week”

I also set up recurring tasks for things like “update brag doc” or “take trash to the road”

@stevegrunwell i have Todoist! I’ll try this. I have it but haven’t made it a habit. I need to learn to maximize my efficacy with this. i’m not “leaning on” todoist like i should

@awoodsnet Physical note taking (this is more about staying focused tbh)

@vanamerongen i’ve done the bullet journaling in the past, but somewhat dislike my handwriting.

@vanamerongen how far do you take the note taking? track the tickets you work on? system architecture? code modules?
