So in the past I did a limited amount of work with platinum-cure silicone to make things like little gaskets and bumpers or shock absorbers.

One minor issue was bubbles/voids in the silicone.

Could I use a hobby syringe to pull a partial vacuum in something like a glass jar (without it imploding)? It would be cool to have a way to generate even a partial vacuum without needing a whole pump. Might be able to use a tool from an auto parts store to pull the vacuum too.
