I agree. Also, I think there's a distinction between intelligent--in an intellectual sense--versus intelligent in other ways. Trump is uncannily good at being a horrible, self-serving human. It's been the study of his life and he excels at it.

I think Trump exemplifies that it's possible to be both dumb (intellectually) and smart (at being horrible/self-serving).

And, he's dangerous for both reasons.

I consider him a kind of idiot savant. Generally he's impaired intellectually, socially and emotionally, but he has a few "talents" that he has successfully exploited for personal gain.
