Now that we have opened our Akkoma instance at https://corteximplant.net and I played around with it a bit, I notice how plain Mastodon actually is in terms of customization. With Mastodon, you can hardly change anything without directly modifying the code. Of course, custom.css also works, but for that, you need to have basic knowledge of CSS. With Akkoma, practically anyone can create a theme as they like. I hope that Mastodon will get a few more features for customization in the future.
