On this point, the biggest wrinkle has been that I installed Lineage without Google services. It cold sucks to have to side load or use APKPure for so much. F-Droid ain't cuttin' it.

@mttaggart Yeah, my wife's running lineageos with both google play and f-droid installed. She's still got google spying on her (and she also uses the various google apps like gmail), but I get her on free software via f-droid where I can. One appealing thing is that the f-droid apps are ad-free. This is an improvement over her completely locked-down iphone.
