@volpeon i think i'd put a small break in the line behind the wings, otherwise it either looks like poop or a spear in the head :neofox_googly_shocked:
@Johann150 The underline is a tail / speed line combination. Basically, the line connecting to the dragon is its tail, which ends at the g, and the line afterwards is a speed line like you tend to see in delivery service logos. Separating the line after the wing would make it look like the dragon has no tail :drgn__w_:
@volpeon hmm i guess i misidentified the leg as the tail :neofox_think_googly:
but tbh it still doesnt really look like a tail to me. like, a tail in my expectation doesnt have a rectangular end for example.
also would expect the lower point of the wing to be above the tail itself, not attached to it, especially in the fully extended position as it is here (not sure why but thats how i remember other drawings)
@Johann150 Logo design is all about stylization. The tail ends in a rectangle to integrate it with the font which has rougher details than the dragon, whereas a more realistic end would make the dragon look disconnected from the rest of the logo.
The wing being connected further upwards is a design that's not uncommon, but it's complete nonsense and I can't stand it. It reduces the wing area so much the dragon wouldn't be able to fly at all. I can't overstate how fucking dumb it is, unless the goal is to have the wings be only there for decoration. :neofox_googly_shocked:
