Those of us who have fully embraced decentralization by hosting our own instances are still looked down upon as the "unclean", though... It's assumed we've got our own instances because no other instance would have us.
I'm not saying it ISN'T true, but the automatic assumption is a little insulting. ;)
but might there not also be an optimized size for instances to save on resources, which we could then pocket or redirect to developers? maybe we need an instance group dating service.
