Seeing a fair number of allegedly anti-genocide no-avatar accounts saying things along the lines of “if we stop giving Israel ammunition they will be destroyed and that’s good” or even “we should stop supplying Iron Dome (and other defensive systems too because Israel’s government will be forced into a peace agreement if Israel civilians are in danger.”
Kind of like how I used to see a lot of no-avatar hasbara accounts saying horrible things.
If you say that getting Israeli civilians ethnically cleansed or killed would be Good Actually for any reason, then I’m not sure how anti-war or anti-genocide you are, really.
That’s a lot of “he’s hurting the wrong people” energy.
Besides which, Israel is a society with a universal conscription requirement, it’s far more militarized than America or the U.K. or wherever you’re posting from, probably.
And Netanyahu doesn’t care about making “his own people” suffer except that he can use it for propaganda.
“Putting the civilian population in danger to pressure Netanyahu/the government” is not going to work out the way you say you want at all.
