Reminder: It is not necessary to make ableist jokes about a horrible politician's medical conditions to recognize that they're espousing dangerous, bigoted ideas.
Criticize that which is actually worthy of ridicule, not their medical conditions.
@JeremyMallin whenever I see people mocking a politician’s weight, their age, or making “clever” plays on their family name — oh, I dunno, capitalizing the second letter? — I immediately tune those people out. They’re cheap shots, they’re childish at best, and are smugly preaching to the choir. But not any choir I want to be in. They also confirm to everyone across the aisle that liberal-minded people are everything they’ve been told they are. @lindsey
