It's funny how I wanted be my everything at first. I used it as a task manager, project manager etc. Now I've moved work-related stuff out of my vault. Now use my co's Confluence to store project & meeting notes for my knowledge base, and my tasks in Todoist.
My vault can now focus on what Obsidian does best - a note taking app for my passions rather than a productivity tool.

@liztai I’ve taken the same approach. Obsidian is great for research and writing and linking ideas together. But for task management I use a dedicated app that works better.

@andricheli @liztai GMTA! Same, I use obsidian like a second brain. For the tasks, I use a paper based bullet journal. On the go, my inbox is the reminders app on my phone. I just love the physical act of crossing off a task!

@Fury @liztai I make HEAVY use of Apple Reminders. For me it just works the best. I can attach things and it’s really fast, especially when using Siri to add tasks. I have tried all the task managers and Reminders has worked the best for me.

@andricheli @liztai Same. I have used them all. I love being able to add a reminder to my inbox from my watch via Siri.

@Fury @andricheli I don't have Apple Reminders but I am experimenting with Tick Tick now for habits and repetitive tasks. Since I seem to be gravitating towards paper notebooks for work tasks right now I will just keep Todoist as an option 😁

@liztai I've had a similar migration out of many times. Then back again. Then out of obsidian again. And so on 😅

@msemochkin At this rate it's a part-time hobby lol

@liztai To be fair, of course, the flow varies each time. For example, I removed tasks from Obsidian to Todoist. At the next iteration I realized that it is more convenient for me to enter tasks devoted to work with PKM itself (like "rewrite this") back in Obsidian itself.

@msemochkin I use the Todoist plug in for that. Eleminates the decision for me lol. However, I am starting to favour a plain notebook for my tasks now lol
