It’s a slap in the face to those who’ve died by suicide due to mental health-related issues to believe that all suicides are an act of being dissatisfied with one’s life and nothing more. This idea diminishes all the struggles they have experienced throughout the whole ordeal.
Do people really kill themselves for being dissatisfied with life?
Surely some sort of depression has formed in that circumstance?
I have never attempted suicide, probably because I know it will work. But I have self harmed. And there is a part of my brain screaming at me that what I am doing is wrong.
So I can't imagine someone being able to overcome that need for survival unless they had chronic mental illness. Even if they were hiding it from the world.
