Yes, this is a very local election with low turnout, but, Ottawa County is apparently, by far, the most Republican county in MI.

The last Democratic presidential nominee to carry the county was George McClellen in 1864.
FDR never carried it in any of his 4 races.
In 1964, Ottawa was one of only three counties in MI to vote for Goldwater over LBJ.

Not a good sign for the GOP.
