Tips for staying in a house with someone who is covid positive? I am still negative but I am also still a close contact. Sigh. I really don't want to get this if I can! We're masking and have an air purifier.
an update, so far so good! apparently we can start mingling tomorrow as the contagion load will be "minimal" by then. we are apparently two days past when even medical workers are allowed back at work (which is terrifying)
Liam is still testing positive, but the end is in sight.
I am abysmally tired. I'm not sleeping well in the other bed and we were up until 3AM finding our lost cat and resettling him (and then resettling ourselves!)
am I being silly to still be cautious? should I keep sleeping separately for a few more days?
one of the silliest things that has helped me through all this, is adding the handwashing timer to my watch. Every time it goes off it gives me a little burst of confetti and a "well done!' or "you did it!" and I can't say how much I needed that little bump of serotonin
@minxdragon I've done it twice (two dif ppl /sigh) and dodged covid twice. My person has also done it in a different house twice.
The covid+ person kept in their room with a good air purifier next to them. I handled the rest of the house, would make food, leave it on a tray outside their door and they'd mask up and pick it up.
I masked everywhere except my office and bedroom, where I was also running good air purifiers.
