My spreadsheet of studies showing the longer-term impact of has risen to 600 studies. New additions:

-COVID causes hypertension long term in non-hospitalized patients

  • MRI results indicate that changes in brain function contribute to cognitive complaints in people with long COVID even after 2 years

  • Some COVID-19-recovered patients have persistent colonization of SARS-CoV-2 in their cardiac tissue

  • SARS-CoV-2 breakthrough infection leads to disturbances in cellular immunity. (1/2)

  • At 12-months, 7 % of first-positives & 7.5 % of reinfected kids experienced cognitive impairment

  • Neonatal/antenatal exposure to associated with delayed personal-social skills & delayed social-emotional development

  • Cognitive difficulties were present in mild (11.7%), moderate (39.2%) & severe (48.9%) COVID cases 18 months after infection.

  • A positive SARS-CoV-2 test was associated with self-assessed worsening of overall health, persisting for 22 months
