@drz I see lots of good advice in the threads. +1 to all of that.

If this year is like last year, over half of the people you meet will be attending PyCon US for the first time.

Don't be afraid to join tables that have a bunch of people at them or tables with one or two people at them. You will be surprised how quickly you start to recognize people.
