It would be interesting to know why there's a group that feels safer on a network with no blocking than one where you could set up your own server to be a restrictive as wanted …

@cass_m I'm not sure the verdict is that BlueSky feels safer. It does explain why Black Twitter has largely remained on Twitter. It's the "devil you know" and hard to convince people to rebuild their community in a place that may not feel as safe or welcoming than what they're already on. I felt more safe and welcome on Mastodon as a white man, so I'm all the more concerned when I hear that others don't feel the same welcome here.
