You know what sucks about Lemmy/kbin? The inherent duplicate communities/magazines for the same topic on different instances. Federating with both of them causes a fair amount of double posts in my feed. I’m not sure the solution here besides just unsubscribing from the smaller of the two, but that feels counterintuitive and like it will cause there to be a centralization of content.
@wholegroanoats yeah, it would likely be a mess trying to do merge comment threads and would probably feel more disjointed than seeing the same link 2-3 times in a row on my feed.
@wholegroanoats hahah, we will have to chalk this up to fediverse growing pains. As adoption plateaus I’m hoping people find their communities and stick to them instead of just mass posting for upvotes.
