It feels like every time we think we have something basic IE: trans rights established we just take three steps backwards. Like how in the world are we supposed to conquer bigger issues when we can’t even decide who should have human rights.

Treebeard,

Life is not fair. By and large, the arch of the universe bends toward justice… focus on yourself and close family and friends. Ignore the corporate news for it is all manipulative and finally, do not trust statistics, 97% of statistics are made up!

Lombax,

Rights? We don’t have rights. We have privileges. If we had rights, they couldn’t take them away.

alokir,

Are you outraged that people want more things to be considered a basic human right or you’re outraged that people are outraged about it?

I swear people don't want basic human rights. The Spanish government decided that housing is a basic human right and everyone voted for the righ wing extremists.

They agree with the idea of giving everyone a living space right up until they have to pay for it.

bl4ckblooc,

Apparently this is something that can affect neurodivergent people more than normal. It’s something that’s really hard to stop focusing on for me whenever I get onto the topic.

SCmSTR,

True, but it is also especially upsetting when something is super fucked up and damages us all and the solution is blocked by widespread apathy, complacent consent, and willful ignorance and malice.
