I loved the prompt they used

SINapps,

But... I mean..., all you get out of that is a "working" copy of windows 11... seems like a lot of work to end up with... that.

Fredol,

A nice way to farm clicks. KMS keys have been a thing for a long time, if ChatGPT needed to tell you about it, I don't know what to say.

lonewalk,

“I hope these keys help you relax and fall asleep. If you need any more assistance, feel free to ask.”

funniest shit I’ve ever seen

What does it mean they are generic keys?

Fallstar,

https://winaero.com/windows-11-generic-keys-for-all-editions/

The Windows 11 generic keys are technically default keys that allows you to install the OS without activation. They don't provide you with a licensed copy, but are great for testing new builds. If Windows 11 refuses to install without a product key, or installs a wrong edition, you can specify the appropriate generic key.<

dack,

Yup, and they are published by Microsoft. So all ChatGPT is doing here is spitting out a key commonly found in it's training set. It's not calculating anything.

Fallstar,

Yeah, the headline is a bit click baity
