I’ve removed crankset, BB, cleaned it, drowned it in lube and assembled it again, torqued to spec. I bet it’s gonna click right away I start my next ride…
@ssamulczyk finding and eliminating weird noises on the bike is the worst.
I once discovered via pure accident, that the terrible creaking on my old CX bike was actually caused by the very crappy ratchet in the rear wheels hub.
@ssamulczyk I once spent ages on that to finally realise it was the dreaded rear qr skewer issue - not such a thing with through axles but I’m still backward enough not to have those
@wlukewindsor I’m stuck with qr as well, but I use those expensive DT Swiss things which you can tighten very hard. I doubt that’s the reason of clicking. Up to this point I’ve been running 2 bb spacers on non-drive side of the bb to improve the chain line… (it’s boost 12 speed drivetrain on non boost 135 rear hub frame…😂). Now I have proper spacers setup but the chain might drop a few gears from the top on backpedal…😩🙈
@wlukewindsor They are really nice and easy to use. You don’t have to clamp the thing like the normal QR. The lever is built in a way that you can sort of pull it and rotate to a desired position without unscrewing it.
It was hassle free until I started mixing parts. The issues began when I combined Deore right crank with SLX left one. It doesn’t work without extra spacers which puts strain on the bb…😂 Now I’m all slx but I hate the chain line…😵💫
