@Lazarou Most individuals have jumped off somewhere else, except the "I want to be an influencer/go viral" folks, who now end up posting next to far right and white supremacists and disinfo blue-checks (with a healthy amount of blue-check bots hawking either crypto or porn), interspersed with Tucker Carlson and other similar figures. If the agencies would move elsewhere (or publish updates on their own websites), that would fix things significantly, at least for me.
@ai6yr@Lazarou I’m mad about that, but given that my request for an iPad for the student newspaper was turned down by the IT department as “unsupported technology” — in 2010 — I imagine any requests to set up a Mastodon domain are still at the first level of department review.
