Can’t view tweets without being logged in and now can’t read too many when logged in. It’s crumbling.
Reddit and Twitter were very centralized locations for information sharing. I hope people invest more in info sites and blogs again. #twitter#DecentralizedWeb
@EposVox It’s funny that you mention blogs. I recently stumbled across a challenge called 100 Days to Offload whose goal is to get people to write 100 blog posts within a year. The point is to get people to write, and start publishing again and I’m considering taking up the challenge. There’s still 183 days left in the year, it’s still doable. :blobcat3c:

That not only helps you create content and show off another blogger, but it also helps websites get ranked higher within google search results! If it’s done right, that is.
Instead of people quote tweeting, if people blogged about them instead (and linked to the source), I think we’d be in a far better place than we are now.
This is why I love that sites like HackADay exist. Taking projects and info that often only otherwise live on fleeting social media platforms and giving them at least SOME longevity

@lashman that doesn’t fix the massive disappearance of information from search results and public view. Hosting information and answers on social media was always a problem, putting it on Mastodon is not making anything better whatsoever. It’s far less searchable than traditional social media
