It takes real chutzpah for the National Book Foundation to get on the bad side of the original Firestarter.

As much as I love her… Well this is definitely putting a damper on that… she sucks as a talk show host.

Varyk,

So she says that the writing of the show is not covered by the strike and then the WGA says that the writing of the show is covered by the strike? How can the writing of her show not be covered by the strike? Is she going to use outside writers or something?

There are some things that are still permitted; Dimension 20 closed up production in solidarity with the strike, then was told by the WGA they were actually good to continue. I'm not sure what the criteria is though

Pretty sure SGA and WGA don't care as long as your content isn't covering stuff that the companies they are striking made.

Dead Meat on YouTube for example wanted to show solidarity and so they were told by the unions to complete whatever contracts they already had and then to stop covering content made by the big studios, basically.

Since Dimension 20 isn't exactly using WGA content (to my knowledge?), they're cool to continue.
