@rozlatiff I understand that #Malaysia#politic has been in a turmoil. In fact, our political stability is ranked 89th in the world. But Mr #AnwarIbrahim has an interesting start yesterday, let's hope for a stable and inclusive unity government.
I think this episode will be remembered for the central role played by the King as an honest broker, guiding the various players to perhaps the only solution that has some semblance of a chance at stability -- a unity government. I had to Google "unity government." A new thing for us here.
But already it's encouraging that the various parties have come to the table, although some apparently did so grudgingly. And some have shown a willingness to apologise for hurtful words.
Just been catching up on the results of the #Malaysian#Election. The fact that #MahathirMohamad lost his seat is absolutely wild, as is the fact that #BN got their worst ever result. Also potentially good news that regional parties from #Borneo could prove the king-makers.
Would love to see #AnwarIbrahim become PM just for the hilarious memes of it, seeing as he went from crown prince of the #UMNO to political prisoner before leading the opposition.
Sadly, despite the record-breaking turnout and unprecedented results, whichever party wins it'll likely make no real difference for the average Malaysian since there aren't really ideological distinctions between the different parties.
