@cs Canada has different rules for #LPFM#CommunityRadio and #CampusRadio. Starting in 1974 we got Canada's first Community Radio FM station, CKWR, right here in @waterlooregion, followed by Campus Radio FM: CKCU at Carleton Uni in 1975, then CFMU at #McMaster Uni in 1977, then CKMS at #Waterloo Uni in 1978. All were initially restricted to 50W or 100W, but are now 250W to 1000W. Waterloo is particularly rich in Community Radio, there's also CJIQ at #ConestogaCollege, and #MidtownRadio online.

I quite often get emails from musicians, usually ones I know or ones who are starting off.
So receiving a direct email was hardly a surprise, except that sender was not only an established musician from the USA, but an experienced actor, Abigail Killmeier, with quite a TV and film history, appearing in “Fantasy Football” and “This is Us”.
She releases music under the name, Abigail Fierce and her music is available on all streaming platforms.
Abigail is an extremely talented musician and singer-songwriter.
Abigail writes all of her own music, and plays all of the instruments on her songs, except for drums. She's working on learning the drums.
She plays acoustic and electric guitar, bass, ukulele, and piano, but her most unique talent lies in her poetic, visceral, often poignant, songwriting.
She has over 4 million total streams on Spotify, under her artist name "Abigail Fierce."

Usually I default to playing jazz that was recorded during the 1940s-1970s, because that’s the bulk of my record collection, but tonight, no track is more than 50 years old.
