When you have a dangerous interaction with a driver that doesn't involve a crash (drivers throwing things, pulling in front of you and getting out of their car and attempting to stop your bike, etc.) do you call the police, file a report later, get away and then do nothing, or something else? What factors go into making your decision?

I would report it to insurance companies if they would let me, have logged some on sites like nearlykilled.me, but not found a productive outlet for #DriverAccountability info. Oregon law allows civilian citations but it's an onerous process, probably starts with the driver learning your address 😟
People who honk at other #drivers need to realize that they are not doling out justice, just being rude to everyone around them, like loudly farting in an elevator but intentionally. Maybe if they got a ticket in the mail for $165 (ORS 815.225)

What kind of camera do I need to read license plates in these conditions? The tesla is missing a front plate but the rear was never in focus. 2nd picture for comparison, I frequently find the worst encounters with drivers are even more blurry, not close enough to the camera for long enough, or too much speed differential to make out the whole plate. Automated ubiquitous #driverAccountability should be the norm.
