“Forward the Foundation” by Isaac Asimov

And with this, I have completed my decades-long journey through the . I started back in the ‘80’s. I remember being fascinated by , and enjoying . But, for reasons lost in time, I never finished F&E. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I finally decided to return to the series, restarting from the beginning. Now, it is done.

I had guessed that Asimov came up with the plot element of "psychohistory" before the development of chaos theory. Asimov started using it back in the 1940s with chaos theory emerging in a concrete form 10-20 years later. He still stuck with it. He sort of analogizes/rationalizes that it as the impossibility of being able to predict the motion of one gas molecule versus the overall motion of a volume of gas. I think that might be some retconning in later years on his part.

Just finished the first season of Foundation. The series keeps getting better as it goes on. Very much looking forward to the second season and doubling down on reading the books (which I know are very different).
