Descubre en esta publicación cómo empezar con Google Analytics 4 (#GA4) y cómo integrar el código de seguimiento de manera adecuada para cumplir el #RGPD.
Today I learned that when #GA4 records a file download, it truncates the file path to 100 characters.
So if you have very long URLs for some files (which our website does), your download reports may have a bunch of 100-character file names that combine all hits for files below that level into a single entry.
Who would intentionally include a 100-character limit when working with any sort of URL!?!
On multiple, unrelated websites, using GA4 I'm spotting some strange data.
On a single day (different for each site), for a few hours , of page views for / by around 70-80 "users", evenly split between Windows, Chrome OS, Linux and Mac, and from a set of 40ish countries.
None of these views have any custom dimensions or anything that I'd expect from a "real" visit (with GA4 loaded via GTM on the actual site).
Like it or not, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is happening on July 1.
But fear not! We'll take you through it. In this interactive crash course, our friend and GA4 expert Steve Lamar (Founder and Google Analytics Strategist, ReallyGoodData) will lend a hand.

GA4 will be taking over soon. I highly recommend getting your hands dirty now. And specific tutorials are great, but I highly recommend taking a course that covers many aspects of GA4.
As we edge closer to the #Google Analytics #GA4 switchover, I'm receiving more emails from our 3rd party site vendors with an interesting take. The basic message is this:
"UA is no longer going to work, we're not going to spend our time moving you over to GA4 ourselves because it's difficult. If you want to do it, you're on your own. Did we mention your existing data will be erased?"
Some have given alternatives or pointed to internally built analytic dashboards.
