In this month's Linux Format, I cover how to create a cross platform app (including Linux, Windows and Android) using Python and the excellent Kivy framework.
I've just pushed A/V call commands to the #CLI frontend of #Libervia. I believe that it's the only #XMPP CLI to date with calling capabilities (make and receive calls).
How come there are no widely used #FOSS#Android apps developed in #Kivy or #PyQt / #PySide ? Am I missing those somehow or is #Python not an appealing ecosystem/language for #mobile development?
If you want to build an #Android app in #Python using #Kivy, I highly recommend getting the Android build working right away so that you don't end up depending on anything that won't work on Android.
