This is delightful (and horrifying?) - the original Starcraft had a buffer overflow in its map parsing code, that was used by community map makers to patch the game and make custom maps that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. Hi! So, yes but I only speak Spanish and English. I am only now learning about full stack development (I am in a middle of a course). But I have signed up to a Hackathon by coopUK in Manchester for a proposal of an open source estate management system. My previous job was with participatoryCity.org . But I don't think I was able to read the diagram.

I did not know about the app developed in barcelona but looking into alternative.to I found: https://openki.net/, https://joinmobilizon.org/en/ , https://gettogether.community/, https://agorakit.org/en/, https://gancio.org/, maybe that combined with a survey feature like limesurvey might do the trick? Then in flutter all you have to do is take the web page and make it into an app.

@loleg I did not contribute but @amunizp is OK as it is the same as my github/gitlab no need to link to mastodon.
But yeah I think finding the project that has an API and simply use the flutter python thing to glue it all together might be the best option.

    Sorry my proposals are mainly in domestic end:

    I am curious in comparing the lifecycle of keeping and old computer or buying a new raspberry pi or approximately the same hardware capabilities. Assuming that your home power provider is from the same sustainable source.

    My wife @eugenialoli has been working on installing Linux on various old computers for which a lot of other options are now unsupported.

    She's been finding that machines with 2GB or RAM or 16GB of storage tend to struggle, whether while installing the OS, booting, installing common apps or running those apps.

    2GB of RAM is an incredibly large amount. As is 16GB of storage.

    WTF are we software people doing as an industry that makes us consume so many resources?

    I was kinda hoping the contribution was added by the community or bolted in from another project.

    I prefer official bodies using form like PDF than them using docx or users having to install yet another proprietary app on their phone.

    had a campaign about the latter. This hopefully helps these efforts

    What's a decent free and easy to use 3D modeling package that I could use to slap some basic furniture designs together?

    I don't need anything too fancy like Autodesk stuff can do and I would really like it to work on Linux.

    If you need a starting point for furniture you can look at the libraries appropriately licenced and edit on blender.

    FreeCAD is more engineering like than blender. I the past I would generate the basic shape with FreeCAD export STL with just tenoigh nodes and then use blender to feel a bit more artistic. (But not too much!)
