Here is an update on what I'm working on. #buildinpublic
I'm exploring auto styling #OGC Vectortiles in #mapstyler. In this example, the population density is styled based on a user defined color. Very happy with these first results.
I'm just not sure about the map readability of this implementation. The coloring scheme is of course dependent on the distribution of the data. So I guess additional options for categorization of the data are needed.
Today's post is a #QGISServer update. It's been a while (12 years ๐ต) since I last posted about QGIS Server. It would be an understatement to say that things have evolved since then, not least due to the development of Docker which, Wikipedia tells me, was released 11 years ago. There have been multiple Docker images for QGIS Server provided by QGIS Community members over the years.
@osgeo@opengeospatial@qgis funding for such things is mentioned in discussion; and there is a quick promotion of funding code sprints....
This quick response undervalues (or assumes) in-kind participation of actual developers. So yeah no ... please @opengeospatial be a good partner and promote funding @osgeo and @qgis development.
Code sprints provide a venue; getting bums in seats require greater committment.
