Update on the categorized cached downloads (https://mstdn.social/@davidbures/112456702745516734):

Now, it also works when the name of the installed package is not exactly the same as the name of the cached download!

- Re:Semblance Update!

  • new onboarding
  • new architecture (best for performance and accelerates future feature development and debugging)
  • you can remove the wallpapers altogether if you ever want to come back to a completely grayscale theme

I know I promised to do this update yesterday, but I had no electricity. soon, the summer holidays will begin, and this will be a hot period for the app 🔥🔥🔥

I love coffee, so I got a nice machine a while ago. Trying new beans means dialing in everything and considering all the nuances. I got tired of taking notes all the time, so I started building a small app that ideally replaces this little notebook.

Inspired by @marcel I want to and document my learnings along the way.

Let's call it 'Cofi' for now since it's the project's name in XCode.

Which best describes the kind of thing are you trying to sell on your website? I’m thinking about doing a webinar on selling things on your website, but I’m curious on what most of y’all are sellin’ to help me decide on where to start.

Are you using Cork? Are you happy with it? If so, I'd really appreciate if you gave it a review on Product Hunt: https://www.producthunt.com/products/cork-2/reviews/new

I'd also really appreciate if you'd review Cork on other sites, and even send word about it to your favorite Mac publications - every little bit helps immensely.

Without your support, Cork and its community would never be as awesome as it is ❤️ Thank you!

Will I spend an hour doing a tedious task? No, I'd rather spend a week writing an app to do it for me.

Anyway, I'll be posting about my next small utility app for macOS, StringsMerge, which will let you merge two conflicting .xcstrings files.

Thanks to @dimitribouniol and @glacials, we're much closer to the next Cork release! I was finally able to implement the first version of a self-compiled check, which was the only requirement left for the next release.

As promised, both Dimitri and Ben will be getting either a free Cork license or the cash equivalent, as well as a special shoutout in the contributors sections once the feature is fully implemented.

Working on a new Domain tracker app to keep track of your domains 👀 what are your thoughts?

Earlier today, I shared the first prototype of starting and stopping services in Cork.

I've made some adjustments to it, including polishing up the progress indicator, and I think it looks pretty alright.

What do you think?

I almost never brag and typically don't celebrate wins, but I have to for my own well-being.

I should be proud of all I've achieved: https://coolify.io is ramen profitable. 🍜
It makes ~$3,500/month, with a 97% margin.

This is far more than I ever imagined. #buildinpublic #opensource

Made a few minor UI tweaks to Tinylytics. Now you can hide the Kudos and Uptime tabs on a site by site basis (subscribers only). Also tweaked the way the embed code and site id are shown when it's all working (less cluttered). Plus some other minor things that only I will notice.

Welp, I designed an elaborate, high-performance sorting mechanism for definitions according to their score and then… ended up forgetting to actually use it.

Speaking of, the next version of Rizzference will finally show the top definitions first 😅

davidbures, to SwiftUI
@davidbures@mstdn.social avatar

In the next version of Rizzference, I had to remove my implementation of the bottom sheet + TabBar combo because the implementation of .searchable in the bottom sheet caused extremely buggy behavior. The TabBar would randomly disappear with no way to recover.

So, as a “next best thing”, I moved the buttons that were in the tab bar into the toolbar and made them navigable screens. Hopefully it won’t hurt usability too much 😕

I’m working on the launch documentation for Siren. I’m pretty comfortable with video, so I decided a great place to start is by building a getting started course using Lifter LMS. I think that’ll translate into text fairly fast.
