As a Reproductive Scientist who has done outreach in schools in the past and teaches undergrads #ReproSci, I just have to shake my head at governments, particularly Conservative, who just want to hide #SexEd from students. By all means let them learn the torrent of disinformation instead of the facts, learn painfully about STDs or STIs, or keep their pronouns hidden. Dammit the government here is testing the waters to see how much transphobic shit they can get away with. Lots of kids, trans or cis, experiment with different nicknames. Under this rule, would my grade 3 teacher have had to get permission from my parents before calling me "Sam" as I requested rather than "Samantha?" If yes, that's fucking stupid.
