@ChrisWarwick I assume you were looking at my April stats post. I do that for each month.

My inverter will pick the best Agile slots to use. I tell it how many slots I want to use. I need 6 to charge from flat. I could also pick minimum prices to charge if I wanted to. I have never used that.

The batteries always cover the peak times. The last week or so Agile has been pretty flat, around 15p kWh. You might find this interesting. Does not included export.

My electricity bill for last month: Import costs ~£50, export credits ~£90. Overall credit for April: £40 (including standing charges and running an electric car).
This is thanks to Solar PV, a House Battery and a flexible tariff from (Intelligent Go) - all orchestrated with
Capital cost was high but well worth it 👍

@ChrisWarwick We probably had our solar and battery installed at the worst time. December 2022. I don’t look at the payback time. I look at the bills on a monthly basis and enjoy the savings, month by month. I was on the wrong export tariff year. I know this year I will be making more. April’s bill was the first time we covered all the bill including the standing charge.

This year so far, 47 days we have produced more than we imported and 22 days more than we consumed.

We have been doing some ship building in . Mine is the green ship and my wife’s is the red. I love to use spines and cross passages to get rid of the doors.

I wanted my ship to be one level and be able to work all the way round. There is a very longer corridor under the radiator at the back.

A good solar day. Shame we used £2.24 from the grid last night as the solar was so poor yesterday to top up the batteries. We have exported enough to bring today’s cost down to 54p. Not sure we will break even though.

Had our first full month of export. The electricity bill could be negative. Most of the import is charging the car on cheap rate.

@steevc We had our first minus bill this month. Even covered the standing charge. Last year I had the wrong tariff. I was on Agile Export. The fixed is so much better.

For the first time I have managed to cover my complete electricity bill. Last year I covered the import, but never the standing charge as well. Some of it was covered by the extremely good plunge pricing over the weekend of the 13th, but even so. Can I cover the gas over the summer months?

@mario Still waiting on planning permission. Decision mid May. The planning department tells me they have different requirements than MCS noise level. I explained that if we were 0.1db lower they wouldn't even know about our heat pump. Hopefully they will take that into account.

We still have a gas hob and that will need to be changed before we cut the gas and that might have to wait for a bit.
